Can I pay only for one class before committing to the whole course?

No, all courses must be paid for in full before the first class.

Can I get a discount if I miss some classes?

The course fee is fixed regardless of how many classes you are able to attend.

Can I pay for the course when I arrive for the first class?

No, all courses must be booked and paid for in advance.

What is the cancelation policy for group classes?

The fee is non-refundable once the course has started. Multiple course offers are not partially refundable.

Can I sign up by myself?

Absolutely! Individuals are welcome at all courses and workshops, but equal numbers of men and women cannot be guaranteed.

Will I dance only with the partner I have signed up with?

We rotate partners as variety is key to mastering the art of ballroom dancing! During the class you will be asked to switch partners in order to experience dancing the steps you’ve learnt with other people. Of course you don’t need a partner to sign up for any of the courses, individuals are always welcome.

What is the dress code for the classes?

There is no dress code, but smart-casual comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended. You’re welcome to wear dance shoes, but shoes with rubber soles or soft shoes like trainers are not recommended as they can restrict the flow of your movement and make learning the steps more challenging. For more advice on choosing the best Ballroom and Latin shoes, take a look at Michael’s expert video blog below:
Video: How to choose perfect ballroom and latin shoes?

Can I record the class?

To protect the privacy of other participants, recording the class is not allowed. However, you will be able to find a recording of the steps of each class in the Student Portal.

What can I do to memorise the steps from the class better?

Michael has plenty of expert dance tips and techniques you can use to help memorise the steps. Authorised recordings of classes are posted in the Student Portal to watch and remind yourselves of the steps. You can discover more tips in Michael’s video blog below.
